to as High as Second; Winds Up Fifth at Florence
14, 2019) The Outlaw Racing team invaded Florence
Speedway in Union, Kentucky on Saturday night, April 13 for another
$1,200 to win weekly Super Late Model showdown. Jesse James Lay
placed fourth in his heat race and later started the 30-lap main
event from the outside of the fourth row. Jesse then vaulted all
the way up to second and was running in the runner-up position late
in the distance before getting shuffled back to fifth at the unfurling
of the checkered flag. The Union, Kentucky ace finished behind only
victor Josh Rice, Austyn Mills, Trevor Landrum, and Dustin Nobbe.

Jesse James Lay Kicks Off 2019 Season;
Lands on Podium!
7, 2019) With inclement weather pushing back his
2019 season opener, Jesse James Lay finally lifted the lid to his
year on Saturday evening, April 6 at the nearby Florence Speedway
in Union, Kentucky! Jesse started at the tail of his heat race,
but did not stay there for long - blasting all the way up to third
in his prelim. After starting the $1,200 to win Super Late Model
feature event from the outside of the second row, Jesse drove to
the front and led the majority of the distance. A bad restart following
a late caution flag possibly cost him a victory, but the Union,
Kentucky driver was able to bring home a strong third place podium
performance in the 30-lapper behind only race winner Robby Hensley
and runner-up Trevor Landrum! Full results from Florence Speedway
