Jesse James Lay Finally Kicks Off 2018 Campaign in Spring 50!
(April 22, 2018) The Outlaw Racing team and driver Jesse James Lay finally kicked off their version of the 2018 racing season on Saturday evening, April 21 at the nearby Florence Speedway in Union, Kentucky! The Schaeffer's Oil Spring Nationals Series presided over the rain-postponed 'Spring 50' and 28 competitors signed into the pit area to vie for the $5,000 winner's check. Jesse was unfortunately involved in an early incident in his heat race, which resulted in him going for a spin entering turn one. From there, he was playing catch up the entire night and eventually posted finishes of tenth in his loaded heat race and ninth in the B-Main. Jesse was not able to transfer into the 50-lap headliner at his hometown racetrack, which was won by Devin Gilpin. Complete results from last night at Florence can be located online at

(December 4, 2017) Jesse James Lay and the Outlaw Racing team, along with Delph Communications, would like to welcome you to the brand-new! The new website is dedicated to the #33 Super Late Model team, who frequently competes at the nearby Florence Speedway in Union, Kentucky, while also venturing out to other area racetracks in the states of Ohio and Indiana. Jesse, who is from Union, is a three-time Florence Speedway Track Champion and finished third in this year's version of the track point standings at the 1/2-mile speedplant. Jesse Lay Nabs Top Five in Florence Season Finale!
(October 8, 2017) The #33 Outlaw Racing team rolled into the venerable Florence Speedway in Union, Kentucky on Saturday evening, October 7 for the track's Season Championship event. The double points special for the Super Late Models boasted a $2,000 winner's check. Jesse Lay finished second in the first heat race of the night and also had a strong run in the 35-lap feature event at the undersized 1/2-mile oval. Jesse eventually crossed underneath the checkered flag in the fifth position behind only victor Steve Landrum, Trevor Landrum, Robby Hensley, and Roger Williams! Following the race, the Union ace was officially placed third in the final version of the point standings at his hometown racetrack!
