Jesse is a full time master plumber at Joe Lay & Sons Plumbing where he is part owner along with his two brothers, Tony & Mike. Lay's Plumbing was started by Jesse's dad, Joe Lay, in 1970.
Racing is a hobby that Jesse enjoys doing on the side.

2003 - Finished 4th in the STARS Battle of the Bluegrass Series points standings with one win on the circuit.
